Managing pages and menu subsections

This page contains information about how to manage your pages and menu subsections, including adding, editing, re-ordering, deleting, and archiving pages and menu subsections.

  • How to add a page or menu subsection

    1. Select the folder where you want the new page or subfolder to appear
    2. Select New from the main navigation bar. 
      Select NEW from the main navigation bar
    3. To create a new page, select Page.
      OR
      To create a new menu subsection, select Menu subsection – folder with index.
      1. The folder editor will appear. Enter the Display Name and Title of the menu subsection.
      2. Choose whether to have this subsection appear in the navigation menus in the Show this folder in navigation menus? option.

      3. Submit the folder. A folder and empty index page will now appear in the CMS sidebar. Select the index page and select Edit from the secondary navigation bar.

    4. Enter your content on the page. 
  • How to edit a page or menu subsection

    1. Select the page or folder you want to edit.

    2. Select Edit from the secondary navigation bar.

    3. Make your changes on the page or folder. 
  • How to re-order a page/subsection in the navigation menu

    1. Select the folder in which the page you want to re-order resides. 
    2. Select the Order heading in the View tab.

    3. Hover next to the page you want to re-order. Drag and drop the page into the correct order.
    4. If you publishing abilities, re-publish the navigation menu (“_files” folder), or ask your website publisher/the Web Team to re-publish the navigation menu, or wait until another page has gone through the workflow process to see the changes on the live site (the navigation menu is automatically re-published when a workflow is completed).
  • How to delete a page or menu subsection

    Deleting a page or menu subsection deletes a page from the CMS and from the live website.

    1. Select the page or folder you want to delete.
      1. Hover over the page in the CMS sidebar, click on the arrow that appears and select Delete.

      2. In the secondary navigation tabs, select More and select Delete.

    2. Begin the workflow process to delete the page or folder. 
  • How to archive a page or menu subsection

    Archiving a page or menu subsection deletes it from the live website, but keeps a copy in the CMS for reference or future re-publishing. 

    1. If you publishing abilities, un-publish the page or folder, or ask your website publisher/the Web Team to un-publish the page or folder. 
    2. Select the page or folder you want to delete.
    3. Select Edit and select the System tab.
    4. Uncheck Include when publishing and uncheck Include when indexing

    5. Submit the changes.
